Great Room Project: Help From Family

April 2006

We had help from family with our project.

Dad came over to help Monte string up wiring.

All of their work was for naught, though. The house has had a hodge-podge of wiring over the years, and we ultimately decided an electrician was better suited to get the job done properly.

Carrol flew to Nebraska for a visit and ended up helping us clean out the last bits of plaster.

Monte planned to put new joists in the ceiling, so Marcy helped him string fishing wire to check how level the current joists were.

Luckily the joists were still level, so the new joists could simply be added next to the old ones rather than replacing them.
