Great Room Project: We Have Walls Again!

November 8, 2006 The drywallers did in a day what would’ve taken Monte and me weeks to do. I’m so glad we hired out! Leanne was in town for a court hearing, and stopped by when the drywallers were taking an extended break after putting up the ceiling. She chastised them, and they were soon back at work. |

They asked if I wanted a textured ceiling, which they said wouldn’t need to be painted. I hadn’t planned on a textured ceiling, but then imagined me high up on the ladder painting the middle of the ceiling with no walls to hang on to…and said yes. | |

November 14, 2006 The walls were ready for paint. We chose the same color we used in the kitchen, except for the east wall. Once again, I wanted to be bold… |

I finished painting the walls on the 17th. Our company was arriving the 19th. Would the room be ready?! |
