Dad’s New TV

Dad’s had DirectTV for about a month now, though he’s still been watching the cable channels instead of satellite. Yesterday we bought a new TV to go in the kitchen, a 19″ flat panel, and it’s the only TV not hooked up to cable. I got it hooked up to the satellite, and Dad has spent half his time watching it instead of the TVs in the parlor.

Maybe now he’ll cancel the cable subscription.

In the meantime, I’ve been enjoying the free-for-three-months movie channels. Perhaps a little too much…

  • I didn’t look like that because I was actually out & about. But I’ve watched probably a dozen movies this last month!

“Red, White & Liberal: How Left Is Right & Right Is Wrong” by Alan Colmes: As a conservative Republican, I’m a political polar opposite of Alan, but I liked his book, and actually agreed with some of his comments. “Red, White & Liberal” is at times lighthearted, and Alan shows his sense of humor, so I found it an entertaining read. I recommend it.

I also read “Deliver Us From Evil” by Sean Hannity. Gotta be fair & balanced, you know!
