|If your breadmaker has a jam cycle, cook according
to its directions.
Otherwise, place all ingredients in a 6-8 quart
saucepan and stir till mixed. Simmer about 45
minutes, stirring frequently, until the sugar is
completely dissolved and mixture is slightly thickened.
Using a metal spoon, skim off and discard any foam from the top. Pour into jars or other containers. Mixture will thicken as it cools. Refrigerate or freeze. Makes about 2 quarts.
