|Preheat oven to 375ºF/190ºC. Combine flour, spices, baking powder, soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine molasses, oil, and corn syrup; mix well. Stir in sugar and egg and mix until smooth. Stir in flour mixture; mix well.
Spray baking sheets with cooking spray. Roll dough into 1-inch/2.5-cm balls. Dip tops in sugar and place on cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or until browned. Let cool until firm, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 4 dozen cookies, 2 per serving.
