Automatic Lemon Dishwashing Detergent

The liquid automatic dish detergent – well, I shouldn’t have believed the instructions to only fill the detergent cups ½ way. It only cleaned ½ way. Of course, I didn’t notice as I was putting the dishes away (who looks at “clean” dishes at 6 am anyway?), but when I pulled a plate out of the cupboard, I thought “this one must have been really dirty” or perhaps someone (else, certainly not me) loaded it facing away from the water sprays. But when the second, and the third were in the same condition, I was most unhappy.

 

I went back to Cascade for several days before trying the Watkins brand again, this time filling the detergent cups full. The dishes were okay then. Alright, they may have been just as good as the Cascade, but I was still pouting about the “fill ½“, so I doubt I’ll ever trust it to really clean my dishes. And yes, I really had run the dishwasher because it shows a “CC” for “complete cycle” when done.

 

If I ever ask to reorder this, call Homeland Security, because the real me has been taken by the body snatchers.

I bought the detergent because I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Fragrances can cause the chronic fatigue to worsen and I hated it when I tasted the fragrance in my cups. I'm extremely pleased with the detergent. We always make sure the dishwasher uses hot water. That, combined with 1/2 full container provides us with dishes as clean as when we were using Cascade AND I can't taste the detergent in my cups and if liquid are left in the cups, the liquid doesn't absorb any bad taste from the detergent like it did when we used Cascade. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's trying to get away from the fragrances or wants to go green.
