  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tsp Watkins Chicken Soup & Gravy Mix / Canadian link (optional)
  • 1½ cups sliced carrots
  • ½ to 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 8 cups diced potatoes
  • 5 cups milk


  • 2 cups Watkins Baked Potato Soup Mix / Canadian Link
  • 2 cups cold milk or water
    In large kettle, combine 4 cups water and Chicken Soup Base. Add vegetables and simmer till carrots and potatoes are soft.

    Stir in 5 cups milk and bring back to a simmer.

    In a measuring cup, mix 2 cups cold milk/water and 2 cups Potato Soup Mix till well blended. (Might be slightly lumpy.) Slowly pour into soup, stirring constantly. Let simmer till thickened.


  • This makes a big pot of soup!
  • Soup tastes great as leftovers.
  • For soup with less sodium, omit Chicken Soup & Gravy. Stir together 1 cup Potato Mix and 1 cup cold milk/water. Slowly pour into soup,stirring constantly until well blended. In addition, melt ¼ cup margarine or butter and stir into it ¼ cup flour. Pour flour mixture into soup, stirring constantly. Let simmer till thickened.
