Superfood Multiple now lists the amount of each ingredient that is taken at one time rather than the amount in a daily dose.
Due to US government regulations, the label for Superfood Multiple (product #02260) now lists the amount of each ingredient that is taken at one time (one tablet) rather than the amount in a daily dose (3 tablets) as was previously listed. The product has not changed, but you will see a difference in the amount of each ingredient and percent of the Daily Value (%DV) listed on the label.
To calculate the amount of an ingredient or %DV in a daily dose, multiply the amount of the ingredient or the %DV listed on the label, by the number of tablets taken per day. For example, the amount of vitamin C is listed as 167 mg, with a DV of 278% per tablet. Since the instructions are to take 3 tablets per day, multiply 167 x 3, which equals 501 mg of vitamin C in a daily dose, and 278 x 3 equals 834% of the Daily Value (DV) for vitamin C. The product has not changed, but you may notice a very slight difference in numbers if you are comparing calculations from the previous labels. This difference is due solely to rounding of numbers for labeling purposes and does not reflect a change in the formula.
Watkins updated Dietary Supplement Training Package (#07248 US / #07249 CDN) available January 1, 2005, will reflect this revision, with an explanation of the new Superfood Multiple label, as well as other US labels that are scheduled for revision for the same purpose.
