We are temporarily unable to produce our Menthol Camphor Breathe Easy Mist (product #02340) because of a problem obtaining its brushed aluminum bottle. The product is currently out of stock in the US, and we expect to to run out of stock in Canada sometime next week. We intend to have it back in stock and ready to ship by early May; we will not take backorders during the interim.
Aluminum bottle in demand
The brushed aluminum bottle has caused a bit of a stir in the massive US beer market, which in turn has caused a large demand on the handful of companies that produce the bottles.
Last August, the Pittsburgh Brewing Company began bottling its flagship product, Iron City Beer, in aluminum bottles. Other companies are pursuing the idea, with Anheuser-Busch reportedly planning to roll out some of its high-end beers this fall in 16 oz. aluminum bottles.
While we don't know whether the aluminum bottle will take off with the beer-drinking public, it is a handsome and practical vessel for our Mists and Air Enhancers, and we will do all we can to avoid this current situation in the future.
